Bio
I studied linguistics at Dartmouth, finished in 2018, and spent the next few years teaching English to learners in Brazil.
What I did with it was learn to build software: first for a family business in 2021, then through a thousand-hour immersive in 2022, then freelance, then Citi in 2023. I spent two years there on engineering-health metrics and developer tooling before moving into the AI organization in January 2025. My team packages AI capabilities as skills that other engineering teams can pull down and use, with MCP and security integration underneath, and we embed with those teams to help them ship. Before that I rescued a stalled retrieval experiment and got it from non-functional to ready for next steps.
The linguistics still shows up in the work. Tokenization and morphology are concrete to me: they are how I think about what a model is doing with text. That is the idea behind PolyglotSRS, a language platform I build solo, front to back, for my own language learning, where the grader works on morphology instead of comparing strings. Arabic and Turkish are the hard cases.

Teaching and making
I taught coding at StreetCode Academy from 2021 to 2024, mostly React Native and Roblox in Lua, alongside my regular job. Before that I taught English online to learners in Brazil for three years. Earlier still I was a teaching assistant in the Dartmouth machine shop, training students on lathes, mills, laser cutters, and 3D printers.
I also run a homelab: a Tailscale mesh with ACLs and MagicDNS, local LLM inference, and a synced Obsidian knowledge base across my devices. It started as a hobby and became infrastructure I depend on daily.
